Curbing crisis, protecting life, enabling implementation: the role of criminal law

Implementing ambitious goals in response to the triple crisis of climate, pollution and nature loss is proving painfully difficult. A criminal law to deter severe destruction of nature (“ecocide”) could protect vital ecosystems, support earth guardianship and catalyse strategic positive change.
