Climate Law and Governance Day (CLGD 2023)
This year’s Climate Law and Governance Day (CLGD 2023) was co-hosted by partners from Middlesex University Dubai in the UAE and the University of Cambridge, UK. CLGD 2023 focused on Engaging in Global Stocktake through Legal Lenses and was held both in-person at Middlesex University Dubai and online from 8:30 – 19:00 GST on Tuesday, 5 December 2023 during the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change 28th Conference of the Parties (COP) in Dubai.
This full-day symposium consisted of 3 distinguished plenaries and 16 fascinating and intensive parallel sessions hosted by world-leading partners, including a variety of roundtables, experts panels, and participatory workshops. The Day featured more than 90 world-class legal and public policy experts, judges, negotiators, professors and practitioners, including leading general counsel of international organisations committed to implementing the Paris Agreement.
